Great camera for that price. You get more than what you paid for.
The camera is great. Very clear picture quality and motion detection is perfect. I had to lower it down a bit cause it even caught the small bugs flying in front of it. The charging sun cells are great although they do require light all day. When it’s cloudy I noticed they sometimes stop charging. Yet the camera never died though it kept running on the battery. Overall, I’m very happy with the camera.

Love them
Love these cameras, use for monitoring my livestock, even purchased more wireless solar and wired ones even gave my neighbor one of the solar wireless one. Good night vision and you can turn on the white light function on can see in color.

Big reason to stay with one brand!
Pretty much each manufacturer seems to have them own app for their camera. Since I’ve had the Vetvue app on my iPhone for several years, I was able to add this camera to that app without adding another app to the phone. My first Netvue camera is still working fine, with occasional firmware updates, but technology just keeps getting better. Now this camera for the back corner of our house can see both the back, and side yards, all controlled by my iPhone. The ability to zoom in or out, up and down, and left or right is a game changer. My first Netvue camera views the front yard, and it’s way faster to switch cameras on an app than to switch apps.

Customer service is terrible!
It worked well when it worked. Had to restart it and it never turned back on. Called customer service and they were terrible. No help at all! Wouldn’t buy this brand again. Audio is spotty but camera does work well

Great Quality & Easy Setup!
This is a really sturdy camera with a great image. It was fairly easy to setup but you do have to be really close to your router, and your internet needs to be under 2.4ghz only, I believe. You can add an SD card for recording as well. The camera comes with the mounting hardware to install and it does need an outlet to plug into. There are a lot of options you can tweak in the app which is nice. The app is super responsive and does not take a long time to load when trying to see the camera. It has great quality and can detect motion, including “human motion.” Overall, very cool camera with lots of options and great quality.

Great
I have several of these cameras aroundMy home. This one is by far the best one. The picture quality is really good. My cameras have helped in many police investigations. 😅 but most of all I like the alerts and the price for the services I like that I don’t have to commit to it if I can afford it that’s month. Over all I really like this brand I do wish they had options to add more cámaras to you plans but I have maxed out at 5 and I just orders two more for indoors. So we will see what happens.

Clear pictures.
The camera works very well.It has a good signal and clear pictures. The solar panel keeps the battery charged. It only gets sun in the afternoon, but keeps the battery fully charged.I have added a SD card and will see how it works. The camera has an alarm function if it detects any motion. Also a flashing light.

Ok but not perfect
I like that is solar, so i don’t worry about running wires or recharging batteriesBut needs to have more settings like selection of area for motions and record 24/7 in a memory card like the other products from Netvue

You bet I recommend buying this camera.
I have bought 15 cameras both for me and my friends birthdays. I have also installed it for customers who ask me to do it for them because I am very handy in electronics. The cameras are very clear at night and it is a 1080p. With the pictures I get are very nice compare to others I have bought. You can set only motion alert or record only motion. That ways you don’t have to waste time looking at a whole 24 hours recording. I have used 128 g micro sd card. Recommend getting a Samsung SD card. If you looking for a good cameras, yes get it.

Great Camera. Makes me feel secure.
It’s a great camera. It helps me to feel secure and safe in my home, by allowing me to see what is going on from anywhere. I also like the fact that it has a solar panel, it recharges itself, no electric charging needed. The camera is also very clear to view. All and all, would recommend.

NICE QUALITY
Love this! Very sleek and functional. Heavy weight and not cheap plastic feeling. At first I had a wind chime to close too the camera and it was constantly recording the movement. The battery finally died about a month later. It was 50% charged out of the box. The only downfall from that is I didn’t receive a notification from the app that my camera stopped recording movement and it took me 3 days to realize this. But once I did notice, I took a battery pack and phone charging cord outside and charged it right up. I moved the wind chime and since then (about 2 weeks) the battery has remained at 100% and is now only recording movement I actually want to see. So make sure you don’t have a wind chime near by, and know you won’t be notified by the app if the battery dies. I still give it 5 stars and recommend!

Almost perfect. Still best for the price
The media could not be loaded.
All of the advertised features seem to work well on this unit. The video when streamed is usefull enough but you can always retrieve the SD card if needed. Only gripe with the entire unit is that I cannot use it with 3rd party IP camera software. Other then that it’s very usable and will help to keep you more aware of what is going on around your home

Careful when plugging in the solar panel !
Excellent camera after you get through installing the software and updating it. My biggest issue was that I was not certain it was charging. When plugging in the solar panel I failed to plug it in properly. The best way to plug it in is to pull back the rubber seal so you can see the plug and make sure it actually plugs in correctly. Then push in the rubber seal carefully and your software will show it is charging. If you have no sun the software will show the percentage of charge. I wish it would show that percentage while charging. It is difficult for me to see the small print on my IPhone but that is expected with all these apps. It is a nice product and it will be interesting to see how it operates over the next few months.

Easy to setup and install
Rec’d and setup was a breeze using the Netvue app.The camera angle view is great and the image quality is really good. Also like that you can set up and save different viewing positions. The battery/solar system works great (as long as you fully charge the battery before installation – follow the instructions!).Added bonus – this (and the other Netvue camera I have) has the capability to add a micro SD card, so I do not have to pay for any cloud services!Minor nit is the motion sensor has only 3 settings and my umbrella (in the camera view) sets it off in light wind even in the low ‘Detection Sensitivity” setting.

Great outdoor self-sustaining Camera.
Love this video camera! It is just what I needed. Took me less than 5 minutes to get hooked up. Mounted it to the side of my garden shed overlooking my driveway…. Love that I get instant notifications when someone drives in. I even get a snapshot on my Apple Watch. Works at night too. The solar charging works great! I also added the option SD card which lets me scroll back in time. Really enjoy the pan and tilt options when I pull up the app on my phone, if I want to focus the camera on a specific area i can. Makes me feel secure.

THE BEST CAMERAS!
I started with a set of two about 3 years ago and they have been the best cameras. Now I have purchased 19 cameras (vigils, sentrys, orbs, and orb minis. I love them, that have the best quality pictures, sound, and they are affordable. It’s amazing how they pick up on sounds (especially the Vigil cameras) that I didn’t even hear. Plus all the cameras are easy to set up and operate.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
With NetVue, I love the simplicity of setting up their cameras. It’s literally seconds to get their camera up and running. The Sentry Plus PTZ camera is made well and easy to operate. I have been having some issues with the setup, but Anna at NetVue has worked with me to resolve the problem. We haven’t resolved YET but with her help I know we will. This is usually a problem with their products but for some reason, I seem to have a difficult area that seems to be the problem. Its location is where I need to get the view that I want. We’ll get it.Thanks for all of your help, Anna. Great Job

The important stuff lags
**Edited**Picture quality is great . Unfortunately the camera lags really bad as well as the motion alerts lag. I had it set up to see who was coming up my drive way and it would notify me when they were already pulling up in my back yard. I have to say not 100% satisfied.Went to get a refund on the product, customer service was great except the fact that they wanted me to change the review before refunding my money. I wasn’t keen about that. It worked out in the end where I got my money back before editing the review though.

Pan and tilt are nice to have
Put on front porch. Can pan from driveway to front door. Have another non movable one on garage but like this one better. Also have the orb one that I use inside and it can also pan and tilt. I like that you can put a micro chip in to record. I put a thermometer near the one inside so I can see what the temperature is in my house while I am away in the winter. I have not had any problems with these cameras. I feel they are reasonably priced and good value and give peace of mind that I can always check on my house while traveling. Setup with a smartphone was not very hard and my internet is not the best . I live out in the country and was happy that they work so well.

Quality
The camera in my opinion is quality-built product, but I had to return to Amazon due to not having 2.4Ghz frequency and did not support 5Ghz frequency. All my routers are dual band, and I did not get a chance to evaluate performance due to non-connectivity.

Excellent camera for the money
The camera came well packaged and very easy to follow instructions. The app is easy to use and navigate. This is my second Netview camera and I like having such easy excess to them. The motion activation is great and the night vision is good and I am able to identify different animals and people at a distance. I like the PTZ feature and it’s responsiveness. Being able to have the two way communication is nice but I’ve not yet had the opportunity to use it yet. Overall I highly recommend!

Great Camera
This is a great quality camera. Comes with a solar panel so it’s 100% wireless. Picture quality is very good and there is a push to talk button on the app. The 360 and tilting of the camera can be controlled via the app as well. The motion detection misses the first couple of seconds of movement for some instances. Pressing the live view on the app takes a while to load, hopefully they can fix that. Would be great if it also came included with the micro SD card like the Wyze cameras, but that’s not a big problem. Overall, this is a solid camera thus far. Hopefully the solar panel and internal batteries can last a long time.

Great outdoor camera!
I have been using this camera for several weeks now and it’s great! The picture quality is awesome both in regular mode and night vision. The app is very simple to use. It’s been out in two snow storms and had no problems. I’ve only charged it once and it’s still going so the battery life is excellent.

Honestly fantastic!
We’ve had Vigil Netvue cameras for a while, so when I was given the opportunity to test this one for free I jumped at it.The photo/video quality is definitely a step up. The controls are so much nicer and a lot more responsive (less laggy). I also love that it’s solar powered, so hookup/startup was a lot easier. If I need to replace my other cameras this one will definitely be on my list.

Great camera, poor customer service.
This camera worked amazing. It zooms in two way audio and night vision. The only issues I encountered were the following. It was difficult to see car licence plate’s the images were to blurry. You have to buy a membership or insert a sd card to see video alerts. The biggest issue I had was with customer service from the camera company not amazon. Other than that this camera is a 4 out of 5.

Good wireless camera with solar panel
This is my 3rd Netvue outdoor camera. This camera is very good as it’s wireless, has the ability to move the camera and view areas that are not normally accessible by other cameras. If only the app was better, sometimes it takes a while to load the live view when I click into it. Very easy set up, picture quality is very good. Just started testing it with the solar panel, so we’ll see how that goes. It would be great if it had continuous recording since it comes with the solar panel. What would make it a complete package is if it also came with an micro SD card so I don’t have to buy it separately.

It’s works, with some flaws
the camera is ok for the price, you can control the lens direction remotely, however, I found the wirless connection weak, it’s installed in the backyard anddectect only people but not other movements like animals or sudden lights turn on (my waze one was able to). poor detection at night (best during the day).

Almost useless as a security camera — cannot record continuous video
These cameras work well, and are reasonably good for live viewing. The solar charger works surprisingly well. There are, however, flaws in the firmware that make these cameras almost useless as security cameras. The cameras will not record anything other than 10-second clips when motion is detected. The duration of the clip cannot be changed by the user. Also, the cameras cannot be set to record continuously. If you try to review footage, other than the 10-second clips from when the camera detected motion (which it is not very good at doing), you get a message saying “No video available at the momento.” (see image). It doesn’t matter if you are trying to record on the SD card or with their optional, subscription, cloud service. Continuous recording is not available at all on these cameras. It is possible that they designed it like this because they built these with inadequate batteries. If this is the case, the battery choice was a poor one. But even if this is the case, you should be able to use continuous recording if you supply constant power to the unit. They did not allow for that either. There is just no way to get the camera to record continuous video. The best you can do is set the motion-sensitivity to high, and hope that it catches important events. Most of the time it doesn’t.Netvue acknowledges this recording issue, but has outright stated (on their forum) that they have no intention of fixing the problem. One other thing that I’ve noticed is that the camera never records video of obvious movement, if I am watching the live view of it. Because it has so much trouble detecting motion, I can’t say for certain if this is a motion-detection flaw, or if it truly cannot record anything if you are watching the live stream. Either way, it makes it a pretty undesirable security camera.I’m hoping that Netvue will eventually take responsibility for their mistakes and fix them.As it is now though, buy this camera only if all you want to do is occasionally watch a live stream that you don’t need to record. If you want to be able to review footage, look at other brands.

Love Netvue Cameras
I purchased the indoor Orb Pro and worked great so I then decided to add the outdoor camera. It has been working great! Great picture quality. The solar panel doesn’t seem to be working great but they made some suggestions that I will try & if that doesn’t work they offered to replace it.

Great product with a lot of features!
I travel frequently and have used interior Netvue cameras to keep an eye on my home for years. The interior cameras work great, when looking for an exterior camera Netvue was the only brand I consideted. The camera and solar panel both came with mounting brackets and harware. Installation was easy, with no wires to run into the house. I already had the Netvue app, I was able to add my new camera in no time.I love the functionality of this camera and the features in the app! There’s no need to go outside and get on a ladder to set the camera angle, I just have to pull out my phone. (This will be especially handy in cold Ohio winters) There are no issues with pictures quality at night, which is a relief with how early it gets dark this time of year. In the app I’m able to have preset camera angles, adjust the lighting, sound, and motion sensors, and listen and speak through the camera. There is also a camera alarm, and it’s LOUD.This camera gives me full peace of mind that I can see everything going on outside of my home while I’m away. My only regret is not buying it sooner!

A lot for your money! A must get.
Fantastic camera and a great price! Everything you need to install is included.Pros:- “Position” feature allows you scan with your camera and immediately reset back to a saved position (One of my favorite functions)- Very intuitive interface (zoom, overlayed control functions)- Very good motion sensing, with app notification and video save (all for free! This is not the case for all NetVue cameras)- Excellent night vision that can be enhanced with lights (see photos)- Quick and easy connection to my existing network and integration with my other NetVue cameras- Solar panel appears to be high quality with secure, sealed connection at the camera end- Included mounting templates for camera and solar panel- All components look/feel to high qualityCons- Minor, but it would be nice to have a more integrated camera-power connection. The camera mount appears to be designed this way, but not implemented, but not for this camera (see photo).Overall, this is a very nice camera with super-cool features (i.e. camera control overlay, favorite position return [ multiple favorites can be stored]) at a great price even without the $20 off Amazon coupon (less than $110, $90 with coupon).

Great cameras for peace of mind
I purchased two century plus cameras after multiple thefts were reported in surrounding neighborhoods. I already own the vigil, which is a wired camera, and I thought I would try their 360° wireless. I really liked the solar rechargeable feature, but was a little skeptical. I am happy to say both cameras are working beautifully, even in areas that do not get a lot of sun. Both areas where I installed them have dappled sunlight for part of the day, but both cameras have been holding a full charge since the day I installed them. I chose to install them on trees so as to not put holes in the siding on my house. Sometimes the Wi-Fi is weak given their distance from my router, but I still have no difficulty with lag or glitching. Getting them up and running on the app and physically installing them is very simple. I did have an issue getting the app to recognize my second camera even though it successfully went through all the steps. I contacted support and they were readily available and rectified the issue quickly. I chose to add event recording and human detection plans, so the cameras aren’t picking up every motion all day long and so I can review via video what it does pick up. Having not had these with my vigil camera I can say it makes the user experience significantly better. I’m very happy with the low costs of these plans and this is one of the reasons I went back to Netvue for my second set of cameras. I feel so much better knowing I can see what’s going on outside of my home.

Works great and easy to install
Package was neatly boxed with everything you need to mount the camera and solar panel. Thank you, thank you for an extra long cord that connects the solar panel to the camera unit. (I had a long run to go to the roof where I mounted the panel to under the eaves where I mounted the camera, having the extra cord length was a bonus.) Installation was easy. Both the mounting of the camera and solar panel and the instructions and process for bringing the camera to life we easy. After giving the camera a fool charge overnight, it took me less than 30 minutes to mount and install the camera. I received alerts on my phone from the camera from activities in the driveway within a few minutes. Being able to scroll through the different alerts was easy. The app seems straightforward in reviewing and deleting any events. Overall product looks like a quality, solid camera with an easy-to-use app and was very easy to install.

Favorite about this camera is that I don’t need an extension cord and positioning
I’ve used Netvue cameras since 2017. When Netvue introduces a new camera, it is always better than the last one and this camera is the best by far. Netvue has also added many impressive upgrades to their app in the last 5 years. The best part about this camera is that it not only connects to a router wirelessly like all Netvue cameras, but the electrical is wireless as well eliminating the need to add a power outlet or use an extension cord. It has a battery that recharges via a solar panel. I like the addition of a “flashlight” that can be turned on automatically with motion detection, or manually with the app. Using the flashlight at night gives a color picture instead of black and white and the picture quality is excellent. This camera has an option to remember positions, which is a huge plus. Netvue’s directions are easy to follow which made it quick to set up this camera after charging the battery with the USB cord for 15 hours. The bracket allows for either a side mount or ceiling mount. Some of the older Netvue camera brackets allow for only a side mount, not a ceiling mount. The camera is mounted approximately 35’ from my router and the wi-fi strength only shows “medium,” although it doesn’t seem to have any negative effect on camera performance. The battery shows full, so it appears that the solar panel is working well. I will update my review regarding the battery and solar dependability at a later date. What I don’t like is that the camera can only be positioned using the “Pan and Tilt” rather than touching the screen, which means it cannot be moved by a tiny amount. Hopefully, Netvue will change this in the future.

7th Netvue Camera
UPDATE: The solar panel now works. It simply wasn’t connected firmly. This is my 7th Netvue camera. I’ve had several different models from indoor to outdoor. The Sentry Pro is a new model that allows for a solar panel which makes it really convenient to install. The first thing I noticed opening the box is how well it seems to be built and stylish it is. Just like the other Netvue cameras, it is easy to set up and install. When you receive this camera you need to let it fully charge before installing it. A couple of comparisons to the Vigil Pro (I have 4 of these installed now). The camera angle view on the Sentry gives you a wider angle … probably about 20% more viewing area. Again, since it’s battery/solar, you can install this just about anywhere your router will allow. I love that you can set up and save different viewing positions. The night vision seems to be the same as the Vigil. Image quality is as good as any other low-cost security camera. The added light is great if you don’t want infrared mode and works well. Another thing I really enjoy with Netvue cameras is the capability to add a micro SD card. I don’t have to subscribe to any service. Now, the thing I don’t like compared to the Vigil Pro is I no longer get 24/7 recording. Which is to be expected from a camera run on battery. That would simply drain the battery. The solar panel at the moment doesn’t seem to be charging the camera. It’s not showing as charging it. I’ve had the camera installed for 2 days now and the battery is at 99% (which is actually pretty good). On the Vigil Pro cams, I can monitor those via web browser on my laptop. The Sentry isn’t showing. So, I assume it can only be monitored via the app (no biggie). On the Vigil, I can go to a screenshot of the notifications and press play … which then takes me to the video. That is not available on the Sentry. I have to go to the SD card to see the video and then some of those screen grabs aren’t on the video capture. I also have yet to figure out how to save the videos the Sentry is capturing. On the Vigil, I can save that directly to my phone with a simple download button.Things I like better on the Sentry compared to the Vigil … Motion capturing. The Vigil catches every bug that files into view. This makes notifications constant at night. When pulling up the camera in the app, the Sentry is always muted. The Vigil is not and can be extremely loud when you live close to traffic. All in all … this seems to be a solid camera. If you only care about capturing motion and not 24/7 recording … this will be a great camera. It is new, so, I’m hoping some of the above kinks will be addressed in firmware updates. I’ll leave the camera up for now but may go back to my Vigil Pro simply for the 24/7 recording feature.

Still not sure about this camera
This camera is very easy to set up and understand how to use it and he app.We have several cameras from this brand for inside our house. So we decided to buy one for the outside. We buy the SD cards for all our cameras so we don’t have to pay a monthly fee for cloud storage. That’s a HUGE turnoff and not anything we want. We have enough monthly bills as it is.It’s still a little early to tell the quality of this camera. It’s been about 6 weeks since we set it up outside. Unfortunately right after the return window closed, the camera stopped working or the solar panel. The camera no longer charges. In the beginning it worked really well but not anymore.I contacted netvue customer service when it stopped working. It wasn’t the greatest experience. I felt like they were giving me the run around and Kept asking me for information I had already provided to them. Then they needed the camera ID number. Which I thought was odd. Hopefully they can’t just connect to it and be creepers, watching us outside. Anyways, after emailing back and forth for about a week I demanded them to just send us a new solar panel to check if that’s the issue or camera itself. Eventually they sent a new one about 3 days after that. Hopefully that’s all that it is. Otherwise it’s the camera and if it was that much of a hassle to just get the solar panel, who knows what trouble we’ll have to go through. Anyways I didn’t appreciate the hassle. Now, there is an option that you can take the camera down and charge it inside the house, BUT it’s not always that easy to access it depending on where it’s located, and if you’re like myself and are disabled and can’t keep climbing a ladder. So this option is good for some people. Anyways, we just switched it out just now so hopefully that’s all that is wrong with it.I’ll come back to update my review if anything changes.

Netvue Customer Support
I have an addendum to my review. This camera recently died. It was purchased in March 2022. There is a chat menu in the Netvue app. I tried that and got an immediate response. They gave me a few things to try but nothing worked. The customer service rep told me he would escalate the issue to level two. I received an email that evening to try a hard reset using a small pin hole next to the on/off switch. That did not work either. I received another email from Netvue customer service that they are replacing my camera and I was to send the defective camera back at their expense. I did what was requested and received a new camera within the week. It is now hanging and working just as it should. I give Netvue customer service team 5 stars. They stand behind their equipment.Full disclosure; This is my fourth NV Camera. The first two cameras needed to be hooked up to AC power (Netview Sentry 2). The last two I ordered can be powered by internally charged batteries and/or supplemented by a solar cell array. Happily, this model is already packaged with the solar cell included. These devices are really easy to set up. The first thing you will need to do is charge the camera batteries with the included USB cable. This will take a while. Then, download the Netvue app and create an account. Connect the camera to your 2.4Ghz wireless router and register it to your account by scanning the QR code that shows up on your phone in the app. If you do not want to save videos to the cloud, you can install a 128G Micro SD card. Once you insert the card in the camera, use the app to format the card. After all this is accomplished, find a spot to attach the camera and the solar panel. The solar panel cable is very long so that will give you many placement options. Make sure that the placement of the camera will allow you to connect to your wifi router. I suggest you download a wifi analyzer app on your phone so you can check the strength of your signal. Once this is accomplished, attach the camera to the surface you choose using the supplied template to mark an drill the screw holes needed. You can access the camera through the app on your phone. The picture is crystal clear. The camera also has night vision (in monochrome) and if you want color, you can turn on the white light on the camera right from your phone.

great, easy to use camera
Writing this review after having this unit for a few weeks now.I have had 4 Netvue cameras for at least 1 year. Two of them Operating well below freezing (in a ski cabin). And have been operating flawlessly. All of these are static (you can’t move the camera) so you only have 1 pov and that’s it. (Fixed camera)I was very excited to try this camera for two main reasons:1. Front of my house is hard to cover with a single camera and lack of access to power. Which this camera with ability to pivot can cover with solar panel.2. Resolution. This new one has much higher resolution.Installation: Overall easy to install. Once you have the app, you turn on the camera and the app will walk u step by step. It shows a QR code and then the camera sees it, and it is very straightforward. The ability to control and move the aim of the camera is great and you can do it seamlessly from the app.The solar panel seems to be working great. Albeit we have only had sunny days recently so I’m not sure how long it would last should it be dark and cloudy for an extendd period.Regarding the resolution: it is a big diff from prior cameras. Especially when you are trying to see the details. Very happy with the performanceOne key reason I keep coming back to Netvue besides great product is that they give you the option to use your own memory card and not tie you down to a subscription. The option is there and if you need the storage or advanced capabilities you can buy them at reasonable prices for few dollars a month rather than tie you with expensive subscriptions.I hope this helps you in case you are in the fence. I’ve been extremely satisfied with the company and its products. This new camera seems to be a big success as well.

All spec’s are good, if this is a true I.P. camera, its a 5 star hit
Seller contacted me – BEFORE the camera’s arrived (not here yet due to the winter storm that hit Texas) KUDOS to Netvue and their concerns with our order, I will give another review after the cameras arrive so we can test them – I have a family friend that wants me to install his security cameras as soon as I can make a recommendation. 🙂

Great once it is set up!
We purchased two Sentry 3 cameras to replace another brand that had quit working after 5 years. We have indoor Netvue cameras and think they are great. We had issues setting these new ones up, resulting in several chats with customer support. (Indoor cameras were set up easily.) Once the setup was resolved, the cameras have been working great! They show a wide range of view and are easy to manipulate. Settings for each are customizable and easy to access. The picture is outstanding! We are hoping that they will be as reliable as our indoor cameras have been over the years. If these continue to work well over the next few weeks, we plan to add a few more!

Good quality but very short motion recording time
Camera has very good quality both day and night. The white LED is a useful feature. The motion detection works OK but is only applicable for the full image – no way to select areas of motion dection. My biggest complaint is that the motion detection only records 10 seconds at a time. I realize it is battery powered but come on, only 10 seconds at a time is far too little.

Currently testing. But so far pretty good. Just issues with the app
The design is nice. I like how it includes the solar panel to recharge the inner battery. **currently testing the solar panel** will update after a couple of weeks. Not sure how long the battery will last on its own.Set up of the camera was the easiest among all the other cameras. I installed the SD card with no issues.I had to do a firmware update, once it got to 100% it did nothing. I had to back out of the app and reopen it for the setup to move forward. I read in the manual to not expose the camera lenses to direct light, but my intention of for the outdoor camera to be outdoors. Will it having exposure to the sun ruin it, if so, then why is it an outdoor camera?Using the app:I get an error when I open the app and click on the camera. Picture included. I back out click on it again and it will let me through. But annoying it doesn’t work the first time. Also, when it does let me open the camera, it takes about a minute to connect to the camera. Sometimes I have to back out and reopen the camera view. Picture quality is really good when you select HD. I wish you could see or select the recorded videos from this screen versus. When I click the notification on the main screen it only shows me still pictures, Picture included, I can’t find where to view the videos. Not sure where to actually view videos but after time found I could When I open the camera, go to settings and click on SD card. However, I don’t have recordings, even though it has and accepted the SD card, even after formatting. There is an option for motion tracking. (Pic included). I selected it, but it isn’t doing it. It would be amazing if it did work. One main reason I was thinking about getting the Eufy camera.I don’t understand the “position” option and what it is for. I feel like there needs to be more information provided in the instruction manual.I wish the app was a little more user friendly.

Great impression!
I started with a bird cam, then saw the Sentry 3 security camera, on sale, and purchased one to see if the quality of the bird cam would be the same for the security cam. It was even better. Will probably pure more.

Very good wireless security camera
Sentry Plus is great wireless security camera, the image quality is very good and the application easy to use. The installation was easy and I specially like the position saving feature. The only problem I found is if you try to set the image quality to HD or SD it always show auto, other than that the camera works great fo me.

What a deal! Great Camera and Customer Service is awesome
This is my 4th Netvue camera which I have installed in my house. I also have 3 ring cameras which I purchased from Costco right before purchasing these ones. Comparing the image quality and speed these ones are great. I never had issues with any of them. The customer service is also very responsive and great. This one is kind of unique from the fact that the IR emitters for the night vision makes a huge difference even better than my rings camera and the sound quality is also outstanding. Would recommend, great budget friendly for indoor or outdoor usage.

Love it
I have an older camera that I really like. So ordered another device for the front of my house. And I wanted one that moves to cover more area.

Good product.
I bought two cameras. One for the front of the house and one for the back. I am very pleased with the performance. Good night vision, excellent microphone. When I contacted customer service with a question I received stellar service. I was very impressed by the cameras’ range of motion.

Great camera & motion detection
I ordered this product and it came within the same day I ordered. The set up was super easy- it comes with detailed instructions. It took me just a few minutes to unbox and have the camera hooked up to my wifi. So far, I recommend this camera to anyone who’s looking for some extra security for outside!

Great camera and super easy to setup
I purchased a Netvue camera that I have in my Living Room to monitor my Yorkie when I am away. It was so easy to setup and the picture quality is superb. Therefore, I purchased this Netvue Sentry exterior camera. Like the inside camera, using the App makes it easy to setup. Love this camera.

Make sure it will record before installing
I would have given thus a 5 star rating if I could get the camera to record to the SD card. I tried 3 different cards and still am unable to get it to record. I have 5 other netvue cameras (not solar) that have no problem recording to the SD card. Customer service just told me to keep trying different cards. It is still not recording.

Good Outdoor PTZ
Am using this camera outdoors mounted on a shed roughly 30 feet from the house. The Wi-Fi router is roughly another 25 feet away inside the house. To make it more challenging the house has old fashioned aluminum siding! Yet it still works with my Spectrum WiFi router well. I plan to eventually add an outdoor access point, but right now I am satisfied! The camera is a very good value for the money. I haven’t several other Netvue cameras.

IMPRESSED!
The media could not be loaded.
Set was easy, just scan code. Good price and quality. Charge overnight and it’s ready to go once u c green light. Easy to install. Only had it a few days, so unable to review solar, but it plugs up easily. Night vision is pretty good, can change from infrared to spot light. Panning function works perfect. I subscribed to the video function for $1.99 per month, worked immediately. Netvue App is informative and does all the functions. No complaints.Addition, installed on 6/15 at 100%, 6/26 solar power at 28%. Decent sunshine, will probably have to remove from outside and power back to 100% with outlet.
